Changing the New National Flag Means ....

Changing the new national flag by the regime before the election means the Burmese generals do not care about the laws in the 2008 constitution that they drawn  which will come alive after it is approve by the Hluttaw (Congress).

The procedure is first the constitution will be approved by the Congress and then under the new constitution the new flag will display and use nation wide but currently the election is not started yet, and congress is not form yet, the 2008 Constitution needs an approval from the congress.  Without approval from the congress the constitution is not valid to use and the new flag has no official status as national flag.  The regime is jumping the procedure and using the flag means the generals are not respecting their own laws which created by them.
This kind of action proved that the new government which probably will be formed by the USDP and USDA is under tight control by Than Shwe.  He does not respect what it said in the constitution.   There is no rule of law existed in Burma now a day.  Only the real law and order comes from the top general not the constitution or any thing.

So we do not need to talk about the constitution is fair or unfair because it will used if Than Shwe seems fit for him and his circle. Even the constitution granted rights of the people if Than Shwe rejects it, it will not possible to practice it.
My suggestion is please do not hope there will be a freedom of association and civil rights after the election that we are longing for.  We have to fight our rights by ourselves; the new constitution will not protect you for practicing your rights.  It is only a paper for window dressing.
